This was a pretty good film. It had a pretty good plot and storyline. I thought Anna Faris was hilarious in this film, she played a good role, and she was pretty funny in this film to. The begining of the film wasn't that funny, but when it got to the middle of the film it got really funny. I was really surprised with this film because I thought this was going to be a really stupid film, but it turned out to be good, and funny movie. If I were you I would go see this film, and give it a grade of a B.
The House Bunny, turns out, not so funny. I walked into the theater without much anticipation for the storyline; but with hope that Anna Faris, one of my favorites for having the guts to do the type of comedy she does, would save it with a hilarious character. From the beginning of the film you receive this awkward and sloppy vibe that prevents you from wanting to watch further. You also get an uncomfortable feeling from most of the actors’ performances; mainly from Emma Stone. There weren’t too many laughs, but there were some scattered lines that were really funny. But it still doesn’t make up for the pointless “bad playboy bunny”, whom you forget about until the end of the movie; or for the worn out storyline that has been told so many times in so many ways, which makes it boring. Not to mention the fresh new faces that didn’t make much of an impression.
It looked as though Faris did all she could to make her character, Shelly, work. But it didn’t. I was puzzled by Colin Hanks’ “bit part” as Shelly’s love interest. It was pushed to the side a lot and just felt too last minute. I believe that Faris and Hanks are both way better than this.
A character that I did enjoy was Mona, played by Kat Dennings. Her performance was fun to watch and I’m looking forward to see how she does in her next film, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
Kudos for the rare funny parts, but thumbs down for the lack there of. This movie might make some big bucks in theaters from their target audience of bubbly teens, but as for me; I’ll just keep crossing my fingers for Anna to wow me again like she did in Smiley Face.
I went and watched it and I loved it... I think it was awesome!!!!
I think this movie will be very funny, and I only thought that because of the commercials off of the television!!!!!!!!!!

Okay i like anna faris, but..this takes the cake. it looks like all, or MOST of the funny parts are on the trailer. I'll skip it and MAYBE wait to rent it.
I hate to even admit this, but I've watched the trailer 3 times. For some reason it just makes me laugh. I love the manhole cover scene. I'm going to see this. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those "all the funny parts are in the trailer" kind of things.
I totally 100% agree.
