JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ its just a movie what is you problemo its not worth not seeing the best comedy ever just because they say things about retards.plus singergrl231 black people call their own kind the N word too. ok now that i got that out of the way i can get to my review. overall i think its the best comedy ive ever seen in my life. it had outstanding special FX and was outragiously funny. i love the cast, they wher all good actors, funny as heck.10 out of 10
This film was good , but disappointing. This film had three really funny parts in it which were hilarious, but I believed that there should've been more funny parts in this film. It had a good plot, storyline, and it had some funny special effects. ~MovieFan89~
Forget all that you know about the term, "politically correct" when you sit down to watch this film! The controversy is justifiable, but it would be hard to state your case when you are laughing your head off at the glorious idiotic performances by Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. as well as the rest of the cast.
We are in a REAL war and this movie shows incredibly poor taste. My son recently returned from serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan, but not everyone was so fortunate. Every person involved in this "movie" should be required to visit the Walter Reed Medical Center, and every dime made should be donated to the soldiers trying to recover from injuries suffered. NOT FUNNY.....I walked out during first minutes of this atrocity.
It seems that you might be missing the point. The film was making fun of Hollywood exploiting the very things that are making you upset. It was a commentary.
Boring insensitve movie, don't waste your money. Nothing funny about it, unless you have a teenager sense of humor. The actors were OK; however, the movie seemed to be too long, and I could hardly wait for it to end.
I felt ripped off and very disappointed in this film. If you are a 7-10 year old boy perhaps this film would be funny ( the humor is that juvenile! ). The potential for a very funny film was completely missed with over the top acting and gore that had no business being in this movie. What a mess of a film! Don't waste your money on this one!!!

Ahh i love ben stiller. TROPIC THUNDER. This movie was really funny, it had me laughing pretty hard. If you love ben stiller and his movies go watch this one. Its pretty funny and you'll have a greaT time.
Saw it last night and enjoyed it. I get the whole "retarded" issue, but don't think it really applies here. This is a bunch of actors ripping on their craft, industry and in many ways, themselves. The R word conversation was just a tool to show how rediculous actors can be when getting into a roll. Once you get over that, just sit back and enjoy some pretty good actors that have the guts to make fun of themselves just to keep us entertained. I have to say, I didn't expect much from this movie. My hopes went up over the last few days as people commented and seemed to really like it, but in the end, its just a slightly better than average comedy.
Congrats to Tropic Thunder for finally beating out The Dark Knight at the box office!!
