This was a good film. It didn't have very much of a plot, but it had a pretty good storyline. I thought that they needed to explain the plot of the story in this film more often, it didn't get me confused, but I believe that they needed to explain the plot more in this film. The film had some really great action scenes, and special effects which were awesome! I thought that the special effects directer did a really good job on this film. If I were you I would rent this film, and give it a grade of a B. ~MovieFan89~
Timur Bekmambetov and Mark Millar did a great job directing this movie. The cast and crew were on top of every little part in this movie making it spectacular. I thought this was one of the best movies in 2008. Thumbs up for me!
it was not very realilstic there is no way you can curve a bullet but it had a good story to it

In my opinion this movie was not just eye-candy in most respects this movie was very well done. I thought this movie was going to suck and be another film that was just a piece of crap. But it exceeded my expectatins and MCavey or whtever his name was did pretty well as a american finally. Angelena did good too and she did pretty much what she always does in action movies. Overall this movie sup***ed what i thought at first. It was funny, and had some pretty extreme parts. Great movie and go and see it dont listen to the people who gave it a 7 or lower. But it was a good movie that every one can like (well, not everyone)
I'd have to disagree and say that I wouldn’t give the movie any more than 7. It's not a terrible film, but most of it IS eyecandy. A curved bullet that drills through the brain in slow-mo, with all the blood and brains splattering out is indeed pretty cool SFX but seeing that in every (very frequent) action scene, and the ridiculous facial expressions of the victims gets boring real fast. The story was also lacking, many parts seemed over-the-top crazy and left a lot to be desired. For example, near the beginning, the juxtaposition of a few – ridiculous turbo-mode -sex scenes between the plot, was rather random and gives you an early taste of the random script. It’s rather disturbing that people are raving about a movie that only really shines because of gory head shots.
I LOVED THE MOVIE.ITS ABOUT TIME THAT THE MOVIE INDUSTRY IS MAKING MOVIES THAT TAKE YOU TO THE EDGE AND THE STORY LINE KEEPS YOU IN SUSPENSE.HIGHLY RECOMENDED.
This movie starts out interesting and goes downhill from there on a rollercoaster of over the top special effects that although they are stunning and thrilling are too unbelievable to keep you grounded in the story line. Just as you have been sucked in by the incredible special effects and are willing to settle for a week story line, it becomes even weeker by letting you down with the ending. It's like they ran out of money and decided to take you out of your misery with the same incredibly unbelievably hokey bullet that does in the villian. I can't believe any one of Jolie's or Freeman's caliber would agree to do a film this bad. Great special effects, lousy script, disappointing ending!
This movie sounded pretty cool until I saw that Jolie was in it. She has become so overly saturated in the media. Its like the Ben and J-Lo thing all over again. I'll wait until this one comes on cable if theres nothing better on.
I should have known from my instincts that I wouldn't like this film, all it is good for are some well executed action sequences. The acting is just stone-cold, and I couldn't take McAvoy serious in the action film for a second. The ridiculousness of this movie just wouldn't stop, sure it may be fun for some but to me it was pure stupidity. The movie is very repetitive, so much for tasteful well used slow-motion effects, after about the 10th I was fed up, it seemed to me like 25% of the movie was in slow-motion. This film disappointed me, and I can't believe it is getting the positive reviews it is getting because it is just a big loud stylish headache to watch. Some may like this film however because it is purely eye-candy, NOTHING MORE. There is no acting, plot, or story involved here.
I went to see the movie and I LOVED iIT!!!! The movie special EFX (duh can't spell) where really very cool. I read that there are going to do 2 more movies.
