Nicolas is known then as Coppola. He changed his last name to Cage. The first movie he appeared in is "Fast Times at Richmond High". He chanced his last name for a reason: to avoid accusation of nepotism. Yeah, actor Jake Gyllenhaal called him Nicolas Cage at a show by Jimmy Kimmel in May, 2010. Jake said he sat next to Nicolas Cage and Tom Cruise at the premire of "Prince of Persia" to support producer Jerry Bruckhiemer. Nic was there too to honor Jerry because he worked with him since the 1996 action-thriller "The Rock" which it's dedicated to Don Simpson. It says the name Nicolas Cage in the beginning of the movie. He's now known then as Cage since 1983 in "Valley Girl". He chanced his last name also to inspire music legend John Cage and comic book creator Luke Cage.
