Johnny Depp is a good choice for Barnabas Collins, but it will the plot that makes or breaks the movie!

Johnny Depp is gonna make this movie a hit! He is an absolute amazing actor! I know it is gonna be good. I used to run home after school to catch it!
You're so right! Even though it was a good show...the story line of the film can definetely make or break it. I think they should focus on the reason Barnabas is a vampire and keep that love triangle of Josette and Angelique. Angelique defintely kept things hopping on that show!
Please stay away from that was too over done Victoria Winters plot line. Boring!!! To make this movie effective, they really need to stay true to some of the orginal characters, particularly those portrayed by Jonathan Frid and Lara Parker. They both have to have some solid dimensionality to them in order for this to work. Casting the role of Angelique will be difficult, but will be key in this. Those two have to work in this. An old fan hoping for the essence of the original show and characters to make this work for me. Please vote on the actress to play the role of Angelique on my fan site at www.laraparkerfan.com Lara blogs on it. I hope she is asked to do a cameo!
Pray that the script and the storyline and especially Johnny Depp's Barnabas character are in the spirit of Jonathan Frid's roots. Mind those in the production who may reference this blog, that it was Mr. Frid who was the main proponent of the "Moral Vampire" that forever changed the face of the vampire. victoria winters was the reason that there was a dark shadows to begin with. U cut her out and the show will have nothing. She was the main character on the show. i hope she stays on it. Also, bring in Maggie Evans and burke devlin!tory line that brought Barnabas in was the best, but u have to keep vicky in. Not put her out, or say she was boring!
