NICE MOVIE FULL OF STEROTYPES? WHY IS IT THAT THE AFRICAN BABY IS DEPICTED AS PREMATIVE? All of the other babies presented in the movie are not primitive. The movie is disturbing and full of stereotypes. On may be lead to think all African people live this way. Why did the author not select India other parties of the World. The movie is a comparison, but why are we showing the African's as not civilized people. The movie is just not factual. The movie paints a victual picture of Babies in Cultures around the world. Why? WHY NOT SHOW THE SAME PERMATIVE STATE IN ALL RACES? I HAVE REAL ISSUE WITH THE MOVIE FOR THIS REASON. The subject matter of Babies could have been presented in a visual way to show the all babies and how similar they are. The babies are all cute, but the African Babies have singled out in only one aspect of African.
Why not go to the city and compare an African Baby living in the same manner as the other Babies in a how, going to school. Not living in the dirt with bugs inside a hut. Shame on the Author for this one sided view of Babies.

Wow!! Is that all you got out of the movie? I think the African baby was depicted as the happiest baby, surrounded by people who loved her. Her community was the most connected and compassionate of all communities in the babies small immediate worlds. In comparison, the Mongolian baby (my favorite baby) did not have the same community support or loving family (remember big brother was constantly being a bully and parents needed to tend to the harsh task of taking care of their homes). I'm not really sure how thier living arrangement could be at all, by your definition not "primitive."
I personally loved the movie and was intrigued by the different cultures and found myself more drawn to the babies living such different lives than myself - and I believe yours. I appreciate the commitment made to follow these babies thru their first very formitive years and showing us really how similiar the babies all are. They eat, play, interact with families and pets, learn to walk and develop basic social skills necessary to move thru life. I would love to see where they are in 10 years!
