Ok, to start things off, both "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" were based off of batman graphic novel storys. "Batman Begins" was based on "Batman: Year One". "The Dark Knight" was based off of "Batman: The Long Halloween" and "Batman: The Killing Joke". "The Dark Knight Rises" will likely take a story from another successful graphuc Novel. As of right now, I believe that the most likely ones are "Batman: Prey" or "Batman: Hush". Both feature Catwoman, who I think by now we can confirm will be a villain. Nolan said that one villain will be female. If it isn't catwoman, then it is either Harley Quinn, or Talia Al Ghul. The Only problem is Talia and Catwoman are also love interests. Nolan said there will be a whole other girl for that part. That bumps up Harley Quinns chances alot. "Batman: Prey" has the villain Hugo Strange in it. Many believe that he will be the villain Tom Hardy will play. Hugo could be real, and the story for "Batman: Prey" falls right into line with "The Dark Knight". I think it will probably be it. On the other hand, "Batman: Hush" instead of Hugo Strange, the villain is Hush, a old friend of Bruce's gone bad. The story unlike Prey, features Catwoman and I think Harley Quinn, making it easier to forget one and have the other. But it doesn't really fall in line with "The Dark Knight" like Prey does. But there is one other story possibly being used, "Batman: Dark Victory". "Batman: Year One", "Batman: The Long Halloween", and "Batman: Dark Victory" are all connected. The Only problem with Dark Victory is that the villain is Two-Face, who is dead. But the story does follow the war of Batman and Commishener Gordon against the Mob and the Maroni crime family. But with Two-face taking them over in the story, it is hard to do that with him being confirmed Dead. Other important News goes to The Joker. Nolan said he will not return with Heath Dead. Had Heath not died, we probably would see the return of the Joker. In the end of "The Dark Knight" Joker says "I think you and I are destined to do this forever." Nolan meant that for the return of Joker, but when Heath died it hit all Batman fans hard, including Nolan. The story for Batman 3 almost died with Heath. Luckily for David S. Goyer and Jon Nolan, writing a script to keep Nolan involved, and finish what he started. So far, Riddler, Joker, Two-Face, and any other sci-fi villains, have been confirmed not to appear. Bale will reprise his role as Batman, as well as Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman are all returning. New cast members include Tom Hardy and a soon to be announced Female villain and Love interest. More news on the way.

halo haven't talked to you in awhile...i belive that tom hardy will be playing bane whihc lead me to believe there be some epic fight scenes in this movie and batman maybe even coming close to dying...unless it is just a rumor about bane...although i must say i would be really interested to see how nolan would use bane in his vision of the batman universe...would he alter anything at all cause bane is alittle bit more far fetched in the comics even though he is part of one of the great batman comics where he almost kills batman...it will be interesting to see where this goes
