I have enormous respect for your long career championing movies both old and new. Thank you for all your work on television and DVD's.
I would *like* to enjoy your current series "Maltin on Movies," but it is a constant irritation to watch because of the incessant background music that plays underneath *every second* of the show.
The background music is distracting. It is pointless. It is jarring. It overwhelms the movie clips. It overwhelms your insiteful comments. It is just bizarre and completely out of place.
Please please please tell your producers to LOSE THE EXCESS MUSIC so that we can sit back and enjoy hearing what you think about the latest movies -- and the movie clips without overlay of cheap canned music.
Thank you for listening.

I complained about that annoying music long ago, but nobody listened. Apparently a modern-day viewer can't be expected to just listen to the words of a movie critic.
My wife and I agree completely with Mr. Schroeder about the insane music blaring through the whole show. If it does not change we may have to stop watching. It is just too much work to ignore the music to hear what is being said.
I cannot believe anybody thinks the music adds to the program in any way.
Who can we actually contact to voice the complaint?
My husband and I also enjoy your reviews, but I have been complaining about the background music every time we watch your show. I feel it is very annoying and completely unnecessary. I keep hoping it will disappear.
