Peeta definitely on reflecting both lads I felt that Peeta had loved Katniss since childhood whereas Gale only became aware of her when she was a young adult also Peeta had always been aware of Katniss and wanted to keep her safe whereas Gale became obsessed with the revolution and lost sight of his values, to the point that if he had known of Prim's trip to the capital would he have intervened or considered her colateral damage
Peeta is an amazing character and Katniss is one of a kind and is very brave. I dont agree that Gale is better for Katniss even though he always stood up for her. I have read all the books and trust me, I always liked Peeta over Gale.
I think after reading all the books in book one i wanted peeta and katniss from the beging to be together secound book i was kinda iffy about it but figured i still wanted them together after the thired bokk i said heck yeah they have to be together because you can tell because of thier feelings even though he kinda goes crazy i loved the ending of the books i hope they dont change the movies too much from the beginging i didnt really like Gale for katniss because he cared for her no dout but all i think they were is really good friends and plus in the end her leaves

I think gale is better than Peete for katniss. Because katniss and peeta is going too kill each other. Gal ealways had her back and you can tell that he loves her.. I love this book..can't wait for the movie
Have you not read books 2 and 3? I won't spoil it for, but I was satisfied with the ending. It was a toss-up as to which one should end up with Katniss. I guess that was the author's intent. It will be interesting to see how the movie plays it though.
Gale is so much like her and i thought they were perfect 4 each other in the beginning but then in the end of the 1st book i was on the line. i couldn`t decide. then i thought it was kidda like twilight. 2 teams. 2 people that love her tuly.
Gale ditches her in the last book
if you've read the 2nd and 3rd books then you would know that peeta is better for katniss.
Okay people, before you make a decision about who is better for Katniss read the secnd and third. GALE wanted to kill all those people in district 2, meanwhile Peeta was being beaten because he loved Katniss. He was tortured, and denied by Katniss but still loved her. I luv them both,(Katniss and Peeta)but Gale hasn't done anything really good for her except care forher family while she was fighting for them. Peeta did everything he could for her. You decide who is better, deep down we all know the answer
I like Gale and Katniss too.
