This movie was so pointless that I wondered why I was even sitting in the theatre watching it half way through the movie and why I sat through the whole thing at the end of the movie. Maybe it was because I paid $15.00 to see it on an IMAX screen or the fact that I was so sickened by the movie and needed time to gather myself to leave.
The movie was so incoherent and the majority of the movie had so little to do with the start and ending of the movie that if you left the theatre and walked back in at different parts of the movie you would think it was an entirely different movie each time just casting the same actors and actresses. Definitely not worth the time and money of movie goers and may not even be worth watching it if it was to one day be shown on HBO or Starz one day.
If you've yet to waste your money on this movie then use that money to go buy yourself some dinner. If after reading this and you still want to waste your money then I have a few foundations that you can better donate your money to than the pockets of Snyder.

I went to see this movie mostly because of Richard Roeper's bad review. I give it a A- for visual effects, and a C+ for trying to have a plot. Which equals a B.
The marketing demographic is definitely single guys between 13 and 35, lesbians, or instilling girl power with sexuality and karate lessons. This movie is for those that wanted a sexier version of "Tomb Raider" or "Street Fighter: Chung Lee's story;" with deep moral undertones justifying that objectifying women is wrong.
This movie is an example of what fans of the movie "Heavy Metal 2000" would make if they had the technology used to created Alice and Wonderland. That would be, Cruel and Unusual Films, no really that's who made it.
I love the wide shots of the Neo Gothic Architecture, and the creativity that went into killing villains without showing blood. The music was great. I just didn't like the moral reminder at the end. It's like giving a Pyromaniac gasoline and saying "only you can prevent forest fires.
The plot is the psychological reaction to being sexually abused. A symptom is over sexualization, like in "Georgia's Law" but because they were continuing to abuse her, dancing is a good metaphor. Think about someplace else... where you can kill everyone.
If you want to watch the real dancing, wait for the second part of the credits to come up.
i think we need new critics, sucker punch is a fantastic movie and i am sure it will go cult classic in the future. if we think about DUNE the moption picture, it didnt do well at the box office but killed it at the video store. and actually the same thing happened to blade runner the motion picture. i think its the critics that need to get their minds out of the gutter and look closer at the raw ballsy tourment of the charachters portraid in this film. he has blown genre out of the water, the entire crew have used very imaginative special effects without detriment to the continuity of the film. in fact it enhances the film. it seems to me that most of the film critics would fall into the catagory of fem nazi’s and will not be happy until all women in film have hairy legs and wear dike shorts covering the knees. wardrobe did a fantastic job and that alone must have been mind blowing to see and come to fruition. i say let pretty girls look pretty there is nothing trashy about that. and i would like to point out to the critics that you might need to do a refresher course at uni. did you miss the deep sence of the plot in the film? the abuse the girls were suffering? and finding empowerment themselves? the agony of being tormented, powerless and suffering from delusions? the only down side to this film is at the box office and that might be due to the rating and teenage boys might feel its inapropriate to take a teenage girl to see it fearing the boy might be missunderstood. loved it will buy it for my movie library and my wife loved it too. thanks and keep the inovation comming. well done!!!
