I went to see GL with my wife. The movie is not great, but the visuals are stunning. The movie is bright and cheesy. I believe that the atmosphere for this entry is right on. Super Heroes come from pop culture like Coca Cola, Santa Claus, Apple pie, and Superman. They should be sassy fun escapism. Take a close look at Star Wars. The story is ridiculous, but I love it? It is a cheerful space opera based on westerns, Zorro type sword fights, WWII airplane dogfights, and Flash Gordan Matinees. The only complaint was how short GL seemed. Bring on Sinestro with the same bright, eye popping visuals. More please.
