Why, when going to such lengths to create a Frence ambience, would someone like Scorsese cast actors and actors who speak in British English???!!! Certainly, French actors and actresses who also speak English are available! For me, the English completely ruins the film.

maybe it would've seemed too silly with french accents and children wouldn't have took it seriously.
