The Kennedys - the facts....

The time period is captured flawlessly.The actors performances are so extraordinary that it is actually chilling.Unfortunately,to anyone well read on anything Kennedy the show is insulting. Here are just three examples of what I am talking about,the first being small,the second moderate and the third OUTRAGEOUS.

1)Oswald eating chicken right before the assassination.Oswald DID NOT eat chicken previous to the shooting,one of his fellow workers did,sometime between 11:30am and 12:15pm.Get your facts straight.

2)Joe Kennedy did not STAND UP and then collapse when the bulletin aired on 11/22/63.In fact,he wasn't told until over the weekend when Ted and Eunice went to Hyannis for that specific reason.He read about in a newspaper they handed him and then wept uncontrollably.

3)THIS one is beyond belief.With the exception of a three day temporary stint in 1961,Abraham Bolden was NEVER appointed to Kennedy's secret service detail.Roy Kellerman was Kennedy's personal agent.Bolden was INDICTED for soliciting a bribe from a defendant,then tried to get himself cleared by offering inside information on the White House details insubordination.I can go on for another three paragraphs describing the shortcomings of Mr.Bolden,yet in the movie he's almost a hero.Since he was a negro I can only suspect this was done to entice black viewership? If you don't believe me,refer to the book THE KENNEDY DETAIL by agent Gerald Blaine,pages 334-336 and 356-359.

I now understand why the Kennedys were against this airing on The History Channel.They were right.This is only a small sample of all that is wrong factually about this presentation....
