About Jo Frost: Killer Kids

Jo Frost is on a journey to find out why children kill. The child behavioral expert, who has over 30 years experience in her field, is used to dealing with troubled kids but none of them have been quite as deranged as the four individuals in this series. Jo is ready to ask the important questions… What makes a young person so angry and frustrated that they decide to take the life of another? Are they born with a lethal trigger inside of them or are they products of the environment around them? Quite simply put, is it nature or nurture?

Kids like James Fairweather, a serial killer obsessed 15 year old who randomly attacked and murdered two complete strangers; Daniel Bartlam, the 14-year-old boy who grew so resentful towards his own mother he bludgeoned her to death with a hammer before setting fire to her body; or Sharon Carr who, at the age of 12, brutally stabbed a young girl to death, becoming Britain’s youngest female murderer.

We’ve interviewed the families and friends of the victims as well as criminologists, psychologists, journalists and detectives involved with each case to get to the heart of the story and find out if these children are born evil.
