This was especially shocking, because Warner Bros, had passed over Julie Andrews for the role of Eliza Doolittle, picking Hepburn because of her acting talents. Andrews was actually the one to bring Eliza Doolittle to life when My Fair Lady debuted on Broadway in 1956.

Barack & Michelle Obama! At that point in their lives, the Obama's were simply Barack & Michelle, so their wedding was not the star studded event that Levar & Stephanie's was. Rumor has it, Brent Spiner was his best man, while Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, and Jonathan Frakes served as ushers.

All 55 years of her career! She had been offered other contracts, but stayed with Columbia because that’s who she really wanted to work with.

Unpretty! The song was nominated for Song of the Year at the 42nd Grammys. They didn't win, but they were up against some pretty stiff competition - including Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys, and Santana, whose song Smooth won the award.

Melanie Griffith & Don Johnson! When asked what her parents thought of her being in the 50 Shades movies, Dakota Johnson said “They don’t judge me on what projects I decide to do. They judge me on what kind of human I am to other humans.”

Faith was George Michael’s first solo album after WHAM broke up the previous year. It tore up the charts with several #1 singles.

She was previously nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Sense and Sensibility, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Titanic, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Iris, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Little Children. She has received one more nomination since her win - Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for Steve Jobs.

At the very end of The Incredible Hulk #180, Wolverine approaches The Hulk. They didn't fight until the next issue, but it was the very first appearance of Wolverine.

Gene Hackman! He wanted to play Hannibal Lecter so badly that he bought the rights to Silence of the Lambs and planned on writing and starring in the movie. He eventually backed out. He had just appeared in Mississippi Burning and didn't want to do two dark roles in a row.

Found guilty of burglary! Simpson was found guilty of burglary, kidnapping, and assault for an altercation that took place in Las Vegas in 2007. He was reportedly trying to retrieve property that was stolen from him, but things escalated. He was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 33 years in prison. Simpson was recently granted parole.
